ABOUT ME

Yolanda Banks was born and raised in San Francisco, California, as a member of the Hebrew Cultural Community. She is married with five adult children and a thirteen-year-old.
She is a natural artist who enjoys writing, singing, sculpting, and painting.

 

Ms. Banks is a theatrical playwright who produces diverse shows for children of all ages, as well as adults, so the whole family can learn, enjoy, and appreciate the human spirit and all it has to offer. She especially enjoys working with children, using creativity to show forth beauty and diversity.
 

​Ms. Banks has produced shows at many schools in San Francisco, including the School of the Arts, Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, and George Washington Carver Academic Elementary School and at many public attractions in the Bay Area, including the California Academy of Sciences and San Francisco’s Fort Mason Center. Her musical, Remember the Ladies, was featured at the Black Bart Playhouse Theater in Murphys, California. Ms. Banks continues to inspire through her books and productions.
